Turtle Toss is a bean bag toss game, similar to cornhole. But a lot easier to carry. Its foldable polyester board packs and travels easily, almost like a beach chair.
Founders Jeanne and Allen Bell got into game design to pry their two boys away from video games. Watching a cornhole contest while tailgating, Allen thought how heavy the board was to transport. By contrast, he saw dozens of people carrying portable chairs over their shoulders. That was his a-ha moment.
Lightweight and durable, Turtle Toss comes in an easy-to-carry shoulder bag. There’s no assembly required—just unfold the game and play. When you’re done, fold it back up.
But portability isn’t the only innovation the Bells brought to their new game. The fabric board stays taught. The distinct barrel-shaped bags let you put a spin on your toss. The carrying bag’s mesh bottom lets sand and dirt fall through. And the holes in the board itself are lined with mesh, so they’ll catch your toss . . . and keep it off the ground.
As the Bells can attest, everyone likes this fun, well-designed twist on a classic outdoor game. Even video-game obsessed kids.
