How I Lost 30 lbs by Eating More!--My Blog: ♥ Open Me ♥ ♥
Hi Fiercies!
So I just wanted to share with you my weight loss journey. I went from a size 8 to a size 4. That's two dress
sizes! Plus I lost 26 lbs so far!
Why I did it?
Several months ago I was motivated to lose weight by my health plan and a looming wedding event. My health plan
said I was borderline obese and if I didn't lose weight I could pay a higher premium. The wedding event was my
boyfriend's friend from college was getting married and I wanted to look my best.
Why did I gain the weight?
Over time I started to skip meals. Not because I couldn't afford to eat or had an eating problem but because of
the demands of my job sometimes I couldn't get a lunch break or sometimes I would eat extremely late. What added
to the problem was because I woke up so late, I also wouldn't have time to eat breakfast. As a result my
metabolism slooooowed down and pounds slowly started to accumulate.
What I did to lose weight?
I had to retrain my body. I started by cutting out sodas. Sodas are just empty calories because they're packed
with sugar and plus all that sugar dehydrates you so your body holds onto the water. Dehydration = water weight
gain. So drink at least 8 cups of water a day, it hydrates you, flushes out toxins and prevents water weight gain.
I also drank the water cold and added lemon to it to make the water alkaline. I also consumed less than 1200
calories a day.In addition, I ate more frequently, at least 5 times a day but still consumed smaller portioned
meals. Most times I tried to eat cereal or oatmeal twice a day. For breakfast try special k cereal or oatmeal.
I really recommend the vanilla cereal, it tastes great with almond milk which is great for my girls out there who
happen to be lactose intolerant. Lastly, don't eat after 7pm. If you must consume something drink tea--it has 0
calories and is packed with antioxidants.
